Open your Bible and read Isaiah 59:1-15
“but your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God, and your sins have hidden his face from you so that he does not hear.”
Isaiah 59:2 · ESVMost people picture sin as a list of forbidden fun that a cosmic referee is tracking. That picture is why so many walk away, and honestly, it deserves to be walked away from.
Scripture describes something else. Sin is relational. It separates. It puts a wall between you and the One you were made for, and the wall goes up from your side, not His.
Look at what it does in real life. It isolates you. It makes you hide the very things you most need to say out loud. It hardens you a little at a time until cruelty feels reasonable. And it never stays contained to you. It reaches the people you love most.
You do not have to agree with the word. Just look at the mechanism honestly. Have you watched something you chose put distance between you and someone who loved you?
