Open your Bible and read Romans 10:5-13
“because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”
Romans 10:9 · ESVBe clear on what you would be saying yes to, so that nobody is sold something under a false label.
It is not joining a political side. It is not promising to be good from now on. It is not signing off on every opinion of every Christian you have ever met, and it is not claiming you have your questions answered.
It is two things. Believing that God actually raised Jesus from the dead, which is why the last two weeks mattered. And confessing that He is Lord, which means He is in charge and you are not.
That second one is where it gets real. Lord is not a compliment, it is a transfer of authority. And notice what is missing from that verse. No probation period. No cleanup requirement. Believe and confess. That is the door, and it is that plain on purpose.
