Open your Bible and read 1 Corinthians 12:1-11
“To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good.”
1 Corinthians 12:7 · ESVTo EACH. That word leaves nobody out, including the person who came to Christ three weeks ago. Healing, prophecy, words of knowledge, faith, discernment. Those were never reserved for a special class of Christian, and they did not expire in the first century. They are the Spirit expressing Himself through ordinary people who make themselves available.
You do not work up to a gift. You receive it, the same way you received righteousness. And notice why they are given. For the common good. The anointing on your life is not a trophy, it is for the people around you.
Start small and stay honest. Ask God to show you one thing about one person today, then risk being kind with it.
Do not let a fear of getting it wrong keep you from ever getting it right.

Ask the Holy Spirit to show you one person to encourage today, then encourage them.

“The Holy Spirit gives gifts to each one, and that includes me. I am available to Him.”
