Open your Bible and read Psalm 119:9-16
“I have stored up your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.”
Psalm 119:11 · ESVNotice where the psalmist put it. Not on a shelf. In his heart.
Temptation does not schedule an appointment. It shows up in a parking lot, in a text message, at eleven at night when you are tired and alone, and you will not have time to go looking for the right page. What is already in you is what you will have.
When Jesus was tempted in the wilderness, He answered every single time with Scripture He already knew by heart. If He did it that way, that settles the method for us. Memorizing is not a school assignment. It is loading the weapon before the fight. Start with one verse this week. Just one. Say it until you do not need to look.
The Word in your heart will meet you in the moment you need it most.

Say this out loud
“I am storing God's Word in my heart. It is in me and it will be there when I need it.”
