Day 6 of 60 · Who you are now

He Is Not Disappointed In You

Open your Bible and read Romans 8:1-11

“There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.”

Romans 8:1 · ESV

Read the small words in that verse. Now. No. None. A lot of new believers carry a picture of God standing with His arms folded, shaking His head, mildly let down. That picture is a lie, and it will keep you at a distance from the only One who can change you.

Condemnation says you ARE bad. Conviction, which comes from the Holy Spirit, says a specific thing you did was bad and there is a way back today. One buries you. The other pulls you home.

God is not disappointed in you. He saw every day of your life before He chose you, and He chose you anyway. Nothing you did yesterday surprised Him or changed His mind.

If you feel far from Him this morning, He is not the one who moved. Come close. He has been waiting for you.

Do this today

Sit still for one minute and picture the Father genuinely glad to see you, because He is.

Say this out loud

“There is no condemnation for me. My Father is not disappointed in me and He never turns me away.”
