Open your Bible and read John 1:1-18
“but these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.”
John 20:31 · ESVIf you are wondering where to actually begin, begin with John. John tells you plainly why he wrote it. So that you may believe, and by believing have life. That is exactly what a new believer needs. Not genealogies, not ceremonial law, just a long look at Jesus.
Twenty one chapters. A chapter a day and you are through it in three weeks. Watch how He treats people. Watch who He is patient with and who He confronts. Watch Him with the woman at the well, and notice that He knew every detail of her history and still asked her for a drink.
That is the same Jesus who saved you. He has not changed His personality since.
The more clearly you see Him, the easier it becomes to trust Him with the parts of your life you are still holding.
