Day 24 of 60 · The Word

Truth Outranks Your Feelings

Open your Bible and read John 17:13-19

“Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth.”

John 17:17 · ESV

Your feelings are real. They are just not always telling you the truth. Some mornings you will wake up certain that God is distant, that the last few weeks were emotion, that you are back to who you used to be. None of that is settled by how you feel. It is settled by what He said.

This is where knowing Scripture stops being a religious habit and becomes survival. When the accusation comes that you are still filthy, you answer with 2 Corinthians 5:21. When it says God is disappointed, you answer with Romans 8:1. You are not arguing with yourself. You are agreeing with God out loud.

Jesus prayed that you would be set apart by truth, and He said plainly that His word IS truth.

Feelings make a terrible master and a decent passenger. Put the Word in the driver's seat.

Do this today

Write down one lie you keep believing about yourself and find one verse that answers it.

Say this out loud

“God's Word is truth. I believe what He says about me over what I feel about myself.”
