Day 3 of 60 · Who you are now

The Blank Check At Calvary

Open your Bible and read Colossians 2:8-15

“And you, who were dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses,”

Colossians 2:13 · ESV

ALL your trespasses. Not the presentable ones. All of them.

Here is what happened at the cross. Jesus wrote a blank check for every sin and every piece of baggage you would ever carry, and He signed it in His own blood. The check covers the things you did before you knew Him. It covers what you did last night. It covers the thing you have not told anyone and hope you never have to.

Your past is forgiven. Your present is forgiven. The failures still ahead of you were already on that check when He wrote it. That is not permission to run wild. It is the reason you no longer have to hide.

Guilt will still knock on your door. When it does, do not argue with it out of your own strength. Point it to the cross and keep walking.

Do this today

Name one thing you still feel guilty about, out loud to God, and then thank Him that it is already paid for.

Say this out loud

“Every sin I have committed and ever will commit was paid for by the blood of Jesus. I am completely forgiven.”
