Open your Bible and read Romans 12:1-8
“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”
Romans 12:2 · ESVYour spirit was made new the moment you believed. That happened instantly and it is finished. Your mind is a different story. Your mind still runs on grooves that took years to cut.
That is why you can be genuinely saved and still think like the old you at nine in the morning. Nothing is wrong with you. The mind gets renewed, and renewed is a process word.
Here is how it goes. You catch the thought. You hold it up against what God actually said. Then you keep the truth and throw the other one out. Not once, but every time it comes back around.
The world will keep offering you a shape to conform to. The Word offers you a truer one. Whichever voice you give the most hours to will end up sounding like your own voice, so choose on purpose today.
