Open your Bible and read John 15:18-25
“If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you.”
John 15:18 · ESVIt stings the first time. You share what happened to you and somebody smirks. A family member changes the subject. A friend you thought would be happy for you goes cold.
Jesus told you it was coming so it would not knock you flat when it arrived. The pushback is not really aimed at you. It is aimed at Him, and you happen to be standing where He is.
Do not argue and do not chase them down. Stay kind, stay warm, keep the door open. You are not responsible for the harvest. You sow, He grows, and some of the coldest people you know are further along than they let on.
And remember what rejection cannot touch. Your acceptance was settled before the foundation of the world, when He chose you holy and blameless. No person gets a vote on that. Not one.
Do this today
Thank God out loud for one person who has pushed back on your faith, and bless them instead of arguing.
Say this out loud
“Rejection does not change my identity. I was chosen and accepted before the foundation of the world.”
