Open your Bible and read Luke 15:11-24
“And he arose and came to his father. But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and felt compassion, and ran and embraced him and kissed him.”
Luke 15:20 · ESVThere will be a week when you do not open your Bible once. A stretch where prayer feels like talking through a closed door and you stop bothering. It happens to everyone who has ever walked with Him. It is not the end of anything.
Here is what the son got wrong on the road home. He had a speech ready about being unworthy and hiring on as a servant. He never finished it. His father was already running.
Notice the father saw him a long way off, which means he had been watching that road every single day.
You will not have to earn your way back in, because you never earned your way in to begin with. There is no probation period and no cold reception. Do not wait until you feel worthy. Turn around today. He is already running toward you.
Do this today
If you have drifted, say it out loud to Him now and thank Him that nothing changed on His end.
Say this out loud
“The way back is one turn. My Father runs to meet me and He is not disappointed in me.”
